How Could They Know?

They think they know
What it is that I feel,
What it is that I  think
But they only know
What I show them
They do not see
The swirling clouds
of Darkness
That envelope
My every thought

They do not hear
That voice telling me
To just give up,
To give in.

They only know
That shadowed smile
That false light

But how can I tell them
About the truth
About the pain
That is gnawing at my heart.
At my Soul.
